Setting up a proxy server in Origin

Origin is a service for buying games and DLCs from Electronic Arts. It is used by a large number of gamers around the world, but sometimes Origin products are not available in many countries. The system tracks your location by IP address, therefore, to purchase the game, you need to change it. You can do this through a proxy: you will receive a new address that will be tracked when you enter Origin.

How to set a proxy for Origin through the Proxifier program

Origin doesn't have a feature to set up a proxy, so we'll show you 2 other ways to set a proxy on Origin.

1. Download and enable the Proxifier program.
2. Select the “Profile” tab, then “Proxy Servers”.



3. Click on the "Add" button.



4. Enter your proxy data: IP address, Port, and specify the protocol type below.



5. Check the box "Enable" and fill in the fields with the Username and Password of the proxy.



6. Click on the “OK” button.



7. A window will appear. Click on the “Yes” button.



8. Now open the "Profile" - "Proxification Rules" tabs.



9. Click on the "Add" button.



10. Enter any name for the task in the "Name" field.



11. Click on the "Browse" button and find the folder on the device where the Origin “exe” file is located.



12. At the bottom, next to "Action", select the proxy you want to use. Click on the “OK” button.

How to set up a proxy for Origin through Windows settings

The disadvantage of this method is that the proxy server will affect all programs that are launched on your computer, and not just for the Origin application.

1. Click on Start and go to "Settings".



2. In the sidebar, go to the "Network Internet" section, and then select "Proxy".



3. Next to "Use a proxy server" click on the "Set up" button.



4. Move the switch to the "On" mode to enable the proxy setting.



5. Enter the IP address and Port of your proxy server in the fields.



6. Click on the “Save” button. Done.

The setup is completed! Choose high-quality private proxies, because the security of your account depends on them. Free servers are not reliable, and you run the risk of being blocked on the platform or in your favorite game.
