What is ProxyCap

ProxyCap is a service through which you can set up a proxy for any program on your device. This program is needed if the software does not support proxy installation or allows configuration in a limited amount. ProxyCap will help you add any number of proxy servers to the desired program.

How to set up a proxy in ProxyCap

To set up a proxy, follow these steps:

1. Open the program.
2. In the sidebar, go to the "Proxies" section.



3. Click on the "New Proxy Server" icon.



4. First, select the type of your proxy server.



5. Enter the IP address and Port of the proxy below.



6. If you have a personal proxy with authorization, check the box next to "Proxy requires authentication" and enter the Username and Password of your proxy server.



7. Click on "OK".



8. To check if the proxy server is working, click the icon in the corner of the window.



9. Enter the link of the site where you want to check the proxy and click on the "Check Now" button.



10. You will see a window with the results of the check. If your proxy is working properly, "SUCCEEDED" will appear. After that, click on the "OK" button.

In the same way, you can add and change proxies in ProxyCap to build a chain.

How to add a proxy to a specific program through ProxyCap

1. Open the "Rules" section.



2. Click on the "Quick Add Rule" button.



3. In the "Rule Action" section, make sure you have "Redirect through proxy" selected. Select a proxy from the list below.



4. Check the "Resolve names remotely" box.



5. In the "Program" section, select what you want to use the proxy for: if for all programs on the device, leave a checkmark next to "All programs" if for a specific program, check "Specify".



6. If you chose "Specify", click on the three dots below and find the path to the “exe” file of the program on your device.



7. Enter any name for your task and click “OK”. The setup is completed.

Now you know how to set up and run a proxy through ProxyCap. If you plan to use the program for business purposes or you are especially concerned about online privacy, choose private proxy servers. They will reliably protect your data, help bypass blocking and ensure anonymity.
