Proxy settings in Internet Explorer. Connection and disconnection.

Using a proxy server for Internet Explorer is relevant both for simple web surfing and for professional tasks on the network. It will help to classify your valid IP address, which will allow you to use the Internet anonymously. You can register and manage two or more accounts on social networks and other online sites without fear of blocking. Also, a proxy server will be useful for web-scraping, Internet marketing, automation, and other tasks. Below we will talk about how to configure proxy settings in Internet Explorer.

Clearing cache and cookies before setting proxies in Internet Explorer

Before using a proxy server, it is important to clear the entire history of your previous sessions in the browser. Removing the cache and cookies in Internet Explorer will help to completely hide your identity and protect private data.

The first way to clear cache and cookies in IE:

  1. Press the key combination “CTRL + SHIFT + DEL”.
  2. Check the boxes next to 3 options: “Temporary Internet files and website files”, “Cookies and website data” and “History”.

  6. Click OK to disable Internet Explorer proxies.

The process is completed. After setting up the server, check your IP address on any site on the Internet where this can be done. Read our instructions that will tell you what to do if the proxy server is not responding.

As you can see, the IP address and port of the server are stored in the database, so in the future, you can quickly enable or disable proxies for Internet Explorer.

You will only need to check/uncheck one box next to the option “Use a proxy server for your LAN”.
